Many women serial killers killed alone, like Locusta the Poisoner, Elizabeth Bathory, Belle Gunness, Jolly Jane Toppan, Mary Cotton, Nanny Doss (aka the Giggling Granny), Betty Beets, Geneen Jones, Dorothea Puente and Aileen Wuornos. Others killed in a couple, like Faye Copeland and Martha Beck. “The Bloody Benders” terrorized the Kansas plains, with John Sr. and John Jr. combining with Ma Bender and sister Kate.
